Activities

The 8 activity packages serve as immediate tools for know-how sharing and are a chance, for all parties to face-to-face discussions and direct technical exchanges with high-level professionals of the sector.

Experimental vineyards

The experimental vineyards package aims at introducing the European party’s planting methods to the Chinese party.

It is articulated around a set of 3 activities:

  • The selection and provision of young vines for setting up 2 demonstration vineyards (in China)
  • Collective training about the setting-up, holding & testing and planting techniques for the demonstration vineyards (in China)
  • Setting-up of demonstration vineyards (in China)

Mechanization

The mechanization package aims at introducing the Chinese party to various technical mechanization techniques in terms of grape planting.

It is articulated around a set of 2 activities:

  • Seminars on theoretical and practical know-how of mechanization techniques
  • Study visit a the occasion of a recognized international technical trade fair

Winemakers

The winemakers package introduces the Chinese party to the know-how of winemaking.

It is articulated around a set of 2 activities:
• Seminars on winemaking trends and/or oenological products and techniques, on categories of products in line with OIV and EU standards (in China)
• Internships in European companies/organizations which provide both theoretical and practical know-how of winemaking techniques

Marketing

The marketing package aims at providing training of on market promotion concept and marketing experience to Chinese marketing personel.

• Seminars on marketing trends (in Europe or in China)
• Internships in European companies/organizations in departments related to marketing

Academic

The academic package aims at assisting the Chinese party into grasping the cutting-edge winemaking technology.

It is concretized by:

• The publication of a single report gathering information on networks of EU scientific institutions with expertise in viticulture, oenological practices and research potentially relevant for wine producers.

The testing and method of quality control package aims at assisting the enterprises members of the Chinese party to grasp the European high standards for testing and method of quality control.

• Study visits to relevant public or private laboratories in the CEEV membership network

It is articulated around 1 main activity:
• European and Chinese wine tastings (in China and in Europe)

The wine classification and GI protection system package aims at assisting the Chinese party in setting-up a classification and GI protection system.

The wine classification and GI protection system package aims at assisting the Chinese party in setting-up a classification and GI protection system.
It is articulated around 2 main activities
Seminars
• On wine classification and segmentation in Europe / the role and place for GIs;
• On how to determine qualities of wine products and linking them with geographical area where a given quality, reputation or other characteristic of the good is essentially attributable to its geographical origin;
• On the professional governance and economic organisation of the wine PDO/PGI system ;
• On GI wine regulatory management in China (roles and responsibilities of all the regulatory agencies in China).
• A wine promotional campaign focusing on promoting the concept of GIs and the benefits of a possible EU/China agreement for both sides.
